Kunming Changshui International Airport (ICAO: ZPPP, IATA: KMG) is located in Changshui Street, Guandu District, Kunming City, Yunnan Province, China, 24.5 kilometers northeast of Kunming City. It is a 4F-level international airport and one of the eight major regions in China. One of the hub airports, an international aviation hub, and one of the two national gateway hub airports in China.
On December 5, 2008, Kunming Changshui International Airport officially started construction and began operations on June 28, 2012. The terminal building area is 548,300 m². The airport has two runways. The east runway is 4,500 meters long and the west runway is 4,000 meters long. There are 161 seats (including combined seats); it can guarantee a passenger throughput of 38 million passengers and a cargo and mail throughput. The operational needs are 950,000 tons and 303,000 aircraft takeoffs and landings.
